This recognition program is open to all Acalanes students. Showcasing project-based learning in 16 different categories, Project LPIE has a category for everyone. More Information Dons Legacy WallThe Dons will soon be adding a new batch of legacy bricks to the walls of Acalanes High School and you can add yours to the mix! Bricks provide a wonderful and lasting way to recognize someone while helping support AHS at the same time. Pay tribute to your upcoming graduate, past graduates, your favorite teacher, or anyone who has contributed to your time at AHS. You can even dedicate a brick to your Acalanes’ Sports Team or your favorite club. Be creative, be unique and leave a lasting impression on AHS! Blood DriveWant to donate at the Acalanes spring blood drive? It is on Tuesday, February 26th and we ask that community members sign up through this Google form. Peer TutoringAcalanes’ Peer Tutoring program is still open from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. during Finals Week! Please encourage your student to visit Peer Tutoring for any last minute help. The Acalanes Peer Tutoring program provides tutoring for all students on a one-to-one basis during lunch, Academy, 7th period and after school: no appointments necessary! Tutors are juniors and seniors trained and supervised by the center’s remarkable Co-Directors Mary McCosker and Fran Taylor. Please encourage your student to visit Peer Tutoring located in the enclosed hallway near the little theater.

Service Award Applications To earn either award, students need to fill out a Service Award Application and Verification Form for each service activity. Students need to use the 2018-2019 Verification Forms and collect needed signatures for completed work. For more details, check out the Volunteer Service Award Information Sheet. The annual Service Award Ceremony will be held at the end of the school year. Please turn in completed forms to the Counseling Office the week of April 8 -12, 2019. APC Fall Grants AnnouncementAcalanes Parents Club was pleased to approve $10,000 in grants during the Fall grant submission period. Thanks to your support, APC is able to deliver exciting, innovative grants! There will be a Spring Grants program as well. See the Grants page for the list of grants. New Dons Spirit WearThe latest additions to the Dons Spirit Wear Collection are available now. Spirit wear designed by the Sophomore class as a fundraiser can be ordered through the Acalanes Webstore. Hoodies ($40), long sleeve tees ($20) and short sleeve tees ($15). Parents: these make great gifts for existing Dons, incoming students and Dons parents! Read More eScrip Supports Acalanes Parents Club eScrip is an important fundraising source supporting our school. When you sign up for sScrip and shop at local grocery stores and restaurants, they donate a portion of your purchase to APC. If you are new to eScrip, you can now sign up by text with your phone. If you are already signed up for eScrip, log in and check to see that you are signed up for all of the stores where you shop. Read more Peer TutoringPeer Tutoring is a great campus resource, supported entirely by Acalanes Parents Club, for students to take advantage of to get academic help from trained peer tutors or a quiet space to get homework done. If your student drops by once, they’re likely to take advantage of it going forward. You can’t beat free tutoring (and yummy snacks)!

Acalanes Parents Club thanks our donors who enable us to advocate for academic excellence and enrich the educational experience for our students by funding vital services; Peer Tutoring, academic clubs, staff development, grant programs, health and wellness, support counselors, parent education and much more. The recommended contribution is $300 per student, but you can contribute any amount. All donors will become Acalanes Parents Club members and will receive a copy of the Student Directory/Parent Handbook at Back to School Night. Donate now via the webstore, or you can donate to APC while you are doing your on-line school registration.
